The highly popular beach ride is accessed by boxing the horses down the valley to the beach or can be incorporated into one of our day rides as well.... Please note that the beach ride must be booked in advance due to the tide times, and is meticulously planned accordingly...

This is a ride out across the Morecambe Bay sands to a small island that is located in the middle of the estuary. This is a spectacular ride taking you to Chapel Island, which is named from the chapel that was built there by the Furness Abbey Monks.  Crossing the river onto the sands. Heading out towards Chapel Island. A riverbed canter on the way home. On the ride you can take the opportunity to dismount your horses and view the chapel and the many Eider ducks that now make it their home. The route across the sands has been in use for the last 1000 years.
